North Norfolk Railway (NNR) 5th October 2013
I’d not been to the North Norfolk Railway in a number of year; certainly not since 31207 had been painted into its current green livery. The Midland & Great Northern Joint Railway Society had a members day on 5th October and the locos they opted to use were 31207 and B12 steam loco 6572.
‘207 was rostered 5 round trips and what a cracking day out it was too; even if the weather was a bit rubbish. It certainly didn’t stop 31207 found sounding the part as it got to grips with the load 6 set on the uphill section from Weybourne towards Holt. Having not had ‘207 for so long I couldn’t actually remember how good it had been when I last had it, in Railfreight livery, however I was very pleased I’d made the 2h30m drive to do it. Yet another class 31 that seemed to be “on form” at the moment.
